Museo del Oro

I was impressed with the artifacts at the Museum of Gold. This must be one of the worlds finest collections of pre-Colombian gold in the world. The craftsmanship is just amazing! Most of the 50,000 pieces were from produced prior to the 15th century and used by Shamans and the Artistocracy. Of course, the Spanish went nuts over the gold and pilfered most of it, melting a lot of the pieces into ingots.
